The Müritz-Nationalpark

The Müritz National Park has over 100 lakes larger than 1 hectare. The larger area (260 km²), bordering the Müritz to the east, is characterized by vast pine forests and large bogs. The smaller area (62 km²) around Serrahn is known for its remarkable ancient beech forests in a hilly landscape with many small lakes and bogs.

With a total area of 322 km², the Müritz is located in the northeast of Germany, halfway between Berlin and Rostock, and can be reached on foot from your Hotel INGEBORG in Waren in just a few minutes.

At 117 km², the Müritz is the largest lake in northern Germany, famous for its crystal-clear water and enchanting landscape. A 15 km wide strip on the eastern shore belongs to the national park.
